How we build
Security and privacy by design, not as an add on
Health and operational data sit at the intersection of privacy, clinical confidentiality, employment obligations and safety regulation. Security and privacy are engineered into the architecture from the beginning, not added after deployment. Identity, permissions, data residency, auditability and threat protection are treated as operational requirements.
Personal information held on our Australian platforms is stored in Australia. As GroundCtrl expands internationally, data residency can be established in country to meet local regulatory, contractual and sovereignty requirements.
GroundCtrl is designed for environments where health, safety and compliance are operational requirements. Records, permissions and evidence are structured around what the individual, organisation, provider and regulator each need.
Access controls separate what a treating clinician sees from what an employer or a club needs to know. Need to know is enforced, not assumed. Security controls are embedded throughout the platform architecture and supported by continuous research into emerging threats.
Innosano is part of the Innomente Group, an Australian Research and Development company founded in 2021 that turns applied research into deployed products.

AI that helps people make safer, better informed decisions
Artificial intelligence is a critical part of how GroundCtrl is built to help organisations manage complex health, safety and compliance environments. GroundCtrl can use AI to oversee compliance, identify what requires attention, create and streamline workflows, support operational decision making and help detect potential security, privacy and compliance threats.
Our approach is human centred and privacy first. AI supports people rather than replacing accountable human judgement. Access remains role based, sensitive information remains protected, actions remain auditable, and AI is governed within the same security and privacy architecture as the rest of GroundCtrl.
Innosano develops this capability through applied research, including work on secure artificial intelligence for occupational health. The objective is practical: use AI to reduce administrative burden, improve oversight and help keep people safer without weakening privacy, accountability or control.
